Welcome to the Institute for Archeology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bonn
The Institute for Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology unites the disciplines working in archaeology and cultural anthropology, which in their chronological and regional breadth - from the Stone Age to modern times, from South America to Central Asia, with a focus on the entire Mediterranean area - represent a unique cooperation in Germany. The Institute of Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology understands itself as an institution in which the origins and cultural diversity of human societies and cultures are researched and taught.
With the Academic Art Museum, the Egyptian Museum, and the Bonn Collection of the Americas, the Institute has a unique institutional museum infrastructure in Germany.
The subjects Egyptology, Ancient American Studies and Ethnology, Archaeological Natural Sciences, Christian Archaeology, Classical Archaeology, Cultural Anthropology/ Empirical Cultural Studies, and Pre- and Early Historical Archaeology are represented at our institute.

Organization of the Institute
Management and Directory Board
The Institute is managed by the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director. The board of directors of the institute, which consists of professors, mid-level faculty representatives and student representatives, advises on all important topics.
Evaluation Project Group
The Evaluation Project Group (EPG) coordinates the evaluation of the institute's courses. Prof. S. Feist is the head of the EPG.
