How did the subject's range of topics develop and how dynamic is it? How were core but also peripheral topics taught at the time of the subject's emergence, and what options are used today?
These and similar questions are the focus of the project on the history of the subject. On the one hand, the development of the thematic orientation and the research foci in Bonn itself will be examined, but at the same time, trends in the identification and development of topics in the entire discipline will be examined. The study is supported by the Bonn Center for Digital Humanities; it is also part of Cluster 5 of the German Archaeological Institute on the history of archaeology.
